Since v4 firmware a peaking function is implemented. This thing is amazing. It is the first time it is implemented on a photo camera. It is implemented on expensive video camcorders since a long time. When you adjust your focus ring, the screen display in yellow pixels the part of the image which is focused. It is computer in real time using contrast detection algoritms:
